| IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 14, 2004 Duluth, Minn., U.S.A.—Retired Duluth Airport Authority Executive Director Ray Klosowski has been appointed a Duluth Seaway Port Authority commissioner by the Duluth City Council. Klosowski, a retired Brigadier General, commanded the 148th Fighter Wing at Duluth from 1989 to 1995 and the Minnesota Air National Guard from 1995 to 1997. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Richard I. Bong Heritage Center, Superior, Wis.. and the community advisory committee of Lake Superior College. Born in Moose Lake, Minn., Klosowski resides in Duluth with his wife Diana. He is a graduate of Duluth Central High School and U.M.D. Klosowski succeeds Helena Jackson, vice president and senior trust officer of Private Financial Services, US Bank, Duluth. Mrs. Jackson was originally appointed to the board by the City of Duluth in November 1992. The Port Authority's seven-member board is made up of three appointees by the Duluth City Council, two by the governor and two by the St. Louis County Board. Each appointment is for six years. Other board members are Bill Kron, Duluth, president; Steve Raukar, Hibbing, vice president; Janet E. Nelson, Duluth, secretary; Tom Cashman, Mankato, treasurer; Thomas A. Clure, Duluth, assistant treasurer, and Cal Larson, Fergus Falls.
