Seaway specials:

The Fednav Group of Montreal has contracted Oshima Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. to construct four new deep-sea bulk carriers for delivery in 1999 and 2000. The vessels will be similar to the Federal St. Laurent, the first of six vessels Fednav ordered in 1994 from Jiangnan Shipyard, Shanghai, China. The last of those six vessels, the Federal Schelde, was delivered in August 1997. All 10 of the oceangoing vessels are specifically designed to navigate the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway system.
