(and Family)
The Army Corps of Engineers' Canal Park Marine Museum, a key attraction in Duluth
for more than 23 years, welcomed its 10 millionth visitor July 1. The museum, now renamed
the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, has anchored Canal Park's redevelopment,
stimulating tourism and major commercial growth. Detroit District Commanding Officer Lt.
Col. Thomas C. Haid congratulated 10 millionth visitor Steve Newhouse of Anoka, Minn., and
his family (wife Mary and children Sam, 14; Micah, 11; Anna, 9; Katherine, 6; and Josh, 9
months).
