Red lights have storied significance to mariners, beginning with sayings like "red right returning" (from sea) and "port to port, red to red; perfect safety, go ahead." For Duluth photographer Tim Slattery, this light at the outer end of the Duluth Ship Canal meant something else: a great photo opportunity.
