Thomas E. Grosser elected board president 
The Seaway Port Authority of Duluth Board of Commissioners has elected a grain-industry official as president for the 1997-98 fiscal year. Thomas E. Grosser, originally appointed to the board by the Duluth City Council in 1993, is operations manager Duluth and Nerstrand, Minn., and safety and compliance coordinator for AGP Grain Ltd., Omaha, Neb. He succeeds Duluth bank executive Helena E. Jackson, who served three consecutive terms as president and has now been appointed board treasurer. Other officers elected were Sharon Clark of Madison, vice president; Janet E. Nelson of Duluth, secretary; and Herbert Lamppa of Tower, Minn., assistant treasurer. Bill Kron of Duluth and Earl B. Olson of Willmar join them on the seven-member board, which is made up of three appointees by the Duluth City Council, two by the governor and two by the St. Louis County Board.
