Port's McDonough named to NACORE, NEMDA posts
Port Business Development Director Andy McDonough has been named 1997 chairman of the Minnesota chapter of NACORE (International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives). NACORE is an association of professionals responsible for developing and managing real estate assets for corporations whose primary business is not real estate. Its mission is to "provide superior value-added service to tenants, clients and customers, enhance personal and professional skills of members to meet the increasing demands of the real estate industry and maximize value for owners and clients." Mr. McDonough previously served as the organization's vice president-programs.Meanwhile, Mr. McDonough was also elected to the 1997 board of directors for N E M D A (Northeastern Minnesota Development Association). NEMDA is a cooperative private sector effort of labor, education and business dedicated to improving the environment of job creation and retention for northeastern Minnesotans. Key services include lobbying, coalition building, advocacy and economic development coordination.
