The Minnesota Agri-Growth Council in October named Daryn McBeth as its new executive director. Mr. McBeth most recently served as founder of McBeth & Associates, a Minneapolis-based government relations and consulting company which primarily focused on Minnesota agriculture, conservation and rural development issues and specialized in government relations.

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association board in October elected Ron Obermoller, a farmer from Brewster, Minn., as its president. Mr. Obermoller is a graduate of the Minnesota Agricultural and Rural Leadership (MARL) training program, a two-year series of seminars based at Southwest State University of Minnesota in Marshall. Additional officers elected were Gene "Pucky" Sandager of Hills, vice president; Rodney Moe of Waltham, treasurer; and Curt Watson of Renville, secretary.
