Gary R. Forshaw, 45, of Duluth, died July 28. Mr. Forshaw enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1975, and later sailed on various Great Lakes ore carriers. He most recently served as foreman on Oglebay Norton Marine Services Company's Armco.

Anthony Matt "Tony" Vekich, 73, of Duluth, died Oct. 3. Mr. Vekich worked for U.S. Steel in Morgan Park from 1947 until 1958, and then worked for 30 years as an I.L.A. Local No. 1037 longshoreman in the Port of Duluth.
