The most important port on the Great Lakes, Duluth-Superior has grown from an isolated fur-trading post on the voyageurs’ highway to a global bulk and cargo facility that ships grain to feed the world and iron ore and coal to fuel the domestic economy.

Later this year, the story of the Port will be told in a gorgeous new book by Bill Beck and C. Patrick Labadie.
