We have three items regarding the Thor Fest in this magazine (Pages 2 , 11 and 12). And here's another thing on the theme of Thor: In Norse mythology, Thor was married to Sif, a golden-haired goddess whose abundant yellow tresses represented ripe grain. The sky god (that would be Thor) linked with an earth goddess (Sif) meant fertility. Thor's bolts of lightning could only have enhanced this potent combination. Today, we're glad to host both Thor and Sif in the Twin Ports. May they cast their blessings on our annual harvest of export grains. |
