This community cooks! Park Point, the natural sandbar protecting this Port's harbor, is home to a lively community that is connected to Duluth by our famed Aerial Lift Bridge. As part of the bridge's centennial celebration last season, Park Point residents put together a book, Get Bridged: A Collaboration of Recipes from the Park Point Community, Duluth, MN. Getting "bridged" refers to the delays that cars, trucks (and ambulances!) and pedestrians encounter while vessels enter or exit the harbor. The cookbook reflects life on the point, including such treats as:

Marine Terminal On the front and back: On the front: Ed Clarke has been involved with several heavy-lift oil sands project cargoes moving through the Port of Duluth-Superior over the years, most recently serving as logistics coordinator for the OPTI Canada, Inc., $3.5 billion Long Lake project (See Pages 6 & 8-9).
