Robert M. Heller, Sr., 76, longtime Duluth-Superior longshoreman, died Jan. 10, 2006, in Duluth. Known around the Port as "Grandpa," he was a member of ILA Local 1366.

Mary Senarighi Simenson Deutsch, founder and owner of the Branding Iron, a popular restaurant on the working waterfront from 1969 to 1989, died Jan. 23 in Duluth. She was 89.
